Assistant Community Manager - Responsibilities:
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for residents while effectively promoting the property and its benefits to prospective tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HUD, DHCR, HFA, Fair Housing, ADA, OSHA, and all federal, state, and local laws related to multifamily housing
- Process move-ins, move-outs, and security deposit documentation using property management software
- Maintain organized and accurate resident and property files, including verifications, lease renewals, and collections
- Assist with lease renewals, prepare necessary documentation, and coordinate interim and annual recertifications
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in affordable housing (HUD, LIHTC, RD required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software
- Strong leasing, financial, and bookkeeping skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Positive, confident demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
