Job DetailsJob Location: 304 City of Virginia Beach - Virginia Beach, VA 23451Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $50,000.00 - $50,000.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: AnyJob Category: ManagementManages maintenance staff during scheduled shifts as well as completing daily maintenance tasks. Use current technology (radio/phone) to monitor and communicate with staff. Provides help and support to the Maintenance Management Dept. Serves as the main point of contact for maintenance staff. Advocates good will for the City of Virginia Beach by providing excellent customer service to City of Virginia Beach residents and guests. Shows a commitment to quality service by using knowledge of maintenance ordinances, maintenance procedures, and policies. Creates a positive image of the City of Virginia Beach by maintaining a professional, empathetic, and composed demeanor when interacting with guests and residents.
Work Order Management:
Reviewing and prioritizing work orders for preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs.
Assigning tasks to maintenance technicians based on skill level and availability.
Monitoring progress of ongoing work orders and addressing any delays.
Facility Inspections:
Conducting regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and potential problems.
Reporting findings to the maintenance manager and initiating corrective actions.
Team Supervision:
Leading morning/evening briefings with the maintenance team to discuss priorities and updates.
Providing guidance and support to maintenance technicians on technical issues.
Monitoring team performance and addressing any performance concerns.
Safety Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
Conducting safety audits and addressing safety concerns immediately
Manage incident and claim reporting and processing
Qualifications
Must be able to troubleshoot minor plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance issues.
Must be knowledgeable of basic maintenance procedures as related to above.
Must know how to safely use hand and power tools in performance of above tasks as well as other maintenance tasks.
Know how to read blueprints, instruction manuals, and understands Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
