Community Manager

Location: Bakersfield, CA


GSF Properties Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Community Manager to join our team in Bakersfield, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic property management organization committed to operational excellence and resident satisfaction.


In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management, marketing, and maintenance of an apartment community. You will work to achieve the financial objectives of the ownership group while ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.


Pay & Schedule

  • $21–$23 per hour
  • Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Area Manager to establish and maintain appropriate rent levels
  • Review rent schedules and oversee rent increases and lease renewals
  • Maintain optimal occupancy rates
  • Process timely and accurate move-ins, move-outs, and renewals
  • Ensure compliance with company marketing policies and reporting requirements
  • Maintain the overall appearance and condition of the property and grounds
  • Report incidents, accidents, and injuries in accordance with company policy
  • Address and resolve resident concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Partner with the Maintenance team to ensure efficient repairs, preventive maintenance, and quality unit turns
  • Assist with budgeting, capital improvement planning, and vendor management in partnership with the Area Manager

Requirements

 

Community Manager – Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Property Manager experience or 2 years of Assistant Manager experience preferred
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of up to 4 team members
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter while maintaining team collaboration
  • Able to work M-F 8am-5pm=40 hours per week
