Jefferson Apartment Group is a full-service real estate firm specializing in multifamily and mixed-use real estate investments through our acquisition, development, construction, and property management services. We are seeking a Community Manager to join our team at Tellus Apartments, a LEED® Gold certified, mixed-use project located adjacent to the Court House Metro Station in Arlington, Virginia. The high-rise community includes 254 luxury apartments, 7,827 square feet of office space, and 4,050 square feet of retail space and feature renewable energy sources, energy-efficient materials, sustainable landscaping and advanced recycling systems.

Salary: $105,000-$115,000

The primary objective of the Community Manager is to supervise all phases of on-site operations, including the hiring, management of job performance and training of onsite staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Motivates staff. 
  • Manages hiring and when necessary, termination of onsite staff. 
  • Determines transitions and promotions for on-site staff. 
  • Handles emergency situations. 
  • Develops and implements new strategies and programs designed to ensure long-term residency. 
  • Oversees collection of revenue and handles delinquent accounts. 
  • Performs regular inspections of the apartment community. 
  • Handles evictions and landlord liens. 
  • Adheres to and implements all company policies. 
  • Audits lease files. 
  • Implements scheduled rent increases. 
  • Oversees payment of invoices. 
  • Assists in budget preparation. 
  • Monitors parking lot for unauthorized vehicles. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of multi-family property management experience in a managerial capacity required.
