CLASSIFICATION: Full - time/Salary
 
ROLE SUMMARY
The Campus Facilities Manager ensures the church campus is safe, clean, and fully operational by overseeing facilities systems, maintenance, and support services to maintain a ministry-ready environment.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees daily campus facilities operations, ensuring all spaces are clean, safe, and prepared for services, ministries, and events.
  • Personally performs routine maintenance and repairs, including basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building upkeep, ensuring timely resolution of facility needs.
  • Engages and coordinates qualified contractors for work that exceeds personal skill level, training, or requires specialized tools, equipment, or licensing, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Leads and develops facilities and custodial staff while managing maintenance systems, including preventative maintenance, work orders, and facility improvements.
  • Supports ministry events through setup, teardown, and coordination with ministry leaders to meet space and scheduling needs and manage the facilities use calendar.
  • Ensures safety and stewardship by maintaining compliance with standards, managing resources and inventory, and contributing to planning for repairs, replacements, and capital improvements.
  • Oversee and manage the facilities budget.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field
  • Experience in coordinating vendors/ contractors
  • [Preferred] Experience supervising a team
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on maintenance and basic repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general building upkeep).
  • Ability to assess when to escalate work to contractors and effectively coordinate vendors.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain systems for work orders and preventative maintenance.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Comfortable using computers and systems for communication, scheduling, and task management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

SALARY STATEMENT
Compensation for this position is generally structured around $45,000 annually. Depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications, the final offer may be above or below this amount, subject to pre-established budgetary constraints
 
WORK SCHEDULE
  • Sunday 7am-2pm, Mon-Thurs 8am – 5pm, flex to evenings/weekends for events/special situations.
 
COMPLIANCE NOTICE
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Regular standing, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Safely lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.; use appropriate equipment for heavier items.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions; access all campus areas, including ladders, roofs, and mechanical spaces.
