The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for safety, quality and productivity on all machinery and facilities, as well as the Preventative Maintenance Program, project scopes, and direct supervision of maintenance personnel in a specialty chemical manufacturing facility. This includes aspects of project management for capital engineering improvements to the plant and production equipment, managing document approvals, coordinating the procurement, construction, installation, start-up, and commissioning projects simultaneously. The manager also provides technical support to production, QC, QA, and validation. This position is located in Logan Township, NJ. Accountabilities in this role: Ensures maintenance employees are following safe work practices and procedures consistently and completely Effectively coordinate, plan, and execute the Preventive Maintenance Program Responsible for facility-related equipment and systems: electric, air compressors, boiler, etc. Prioritizes and completes assigned maintenance tasks and delegates to subordinates Monitors and controls maintenance operating costs Review repairs for quality or workmanship Improve existing equipment to improve efficiency or reduce costs Coordinate outside contractor work from bid acquisition to construction Interact with outside machine shops to fabricate machine parts Coordinate plant projects, design and development, overhauls, machine relocations, etc. Coordinate with Director of Operations machine modifications to improve productivity Liaison for State or Federal Inspectors, Local Fire Department & Insurance inspections, including annual boiler inspections Qualifications 5 years experience as a Facilities Maintenance Manager Must have a working knowledge to supervise construction crafts including architectural, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection and control, etc. for projects. Experience with facility and manufacturing equipment systems including cleanrooms, process tanks, mixers and liquid filling lines. Manage preventative maintenance of facility creating operation and maintenance procedures Manage 3rd-party preventative maintenance service agreements. Instrumentation Calibration Programs  Commissioning and Qualification knowledge of ISPE Commissioning and Qualification Guideline. ISPE member and/or professional engineering license is a plus.
