What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a hands-on Facilities Manager to lead all non-research operations at our Indorama Ventures Technology Center in The Woodlands, Texas. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, reliable, and high-performing laboratory environment that enables scientists, engineers, and technicians to successfully deliver innovation and research outcomes.

What your day will look like:

  • Lead facility operations across laboratory and office environments.
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs and facility infrastructure.
  • Support laboratory operations through effective vendor and contractor management.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, safety, and administrative support activities.
  • Manage budgets, procurement activities, and capital improvement projects.
  • Drive EHS compliance and emergency preparedness programs.
  • Ensure laboratory systems, HVAC, utilities, ventilation systems, and safety infrastructure operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Partner with scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to support research excellence.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support future facility expansion projects.
  • Respond to facility-related emergencies and critical operational issues when necessary.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of facility operations experience in industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, pilot plant, chemical, pharmaceutical, or R&D environments.
  • Experience managing preventive maintenance programs, contractors, vendors, budgets, and capital projects.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, laboratory ventilation systems, fume hoods, fire protection systems, and critical utilities infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with hazardous materials and hazardous waste handling is preferred.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are desirable.
  • Ability to perform occasional physical activities associated with facility operations
  • Availability to work on-site in The Woodlands, Texas.
