Position Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and coordination of all facilities-related services across contracted and sub-leased sites. You will ensure a clean, safe, and fully operational environment. You will coordinate all contractors including janitorial, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring, and general maintenance. You will ensure compliance with physical security requirements of our government customers. As Longshot grows, this role has the potential to expand into a multi-site facilities leadership position overseeing operations across geographically distributed locations.

- Role Type: FTE EXEMPT ; On-site 8am-5pm
- Compensation: $80,000-$130,000 Annual Salary
- Location: Alameda, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule, track, and verify completion of all facility-related work.
- Oversee cleanliness, waste management, recycling, and facility supply stocking.
- Support clean and dirty lab environments through cleaning coordination, access control, and equipment movement support.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, and lab utility systems.
- Serve as the primary business-hours contact for urgent facility issues.
- Coordinate with COO on facility improvement projects including minor remodels, reconfigurations, and equipment installations.
- Track service records, warranties, asset inventories, and facility documentation.
- Coordinate space utilization, workspace moves, and site readiness.
- Manage access credentials, keys, and vendor access scheduling for laboratories, and manufacturing spaces.
- Additional small requests may be requested in this role from the COO
- Oversee site security in compliance with ITAR export controls.
- Manage permitting processes for facility modifications, equipment installations, and operational changes in coordination with local, state, and federal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or related field.
- Experience coordinating contractors and service vendors.
- Working knowledge of commercial building systems.
- Experience supporting laboratory or manufacturing-adjacent environments.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work fully on-site: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk facilities regularly
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace, manufacturing, or R&D environment experience.
- Experience supporting sub-leased or multi-tenant facilities.
- Familiarity with facilities management or work-order tracking systems.
- Familiarity with EH&S.
- Familiarity with ITAR/EAR.
- Familiarity with municipal building permit processes.
- Experience managing facilities across multiple sites or coordinating remote facility operations.\
