About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team in the Raleigh, NC corporate office.


This is a full-time position. Working Conditions: Typical office environment. Expected travel in rural areas in and/or out of state as needed, up to 50% of the time. 


About the Role:

The Facilities Manager handles managing efficient operation, maintenance, safety, construction, and renovations of Grow Early Learning facilities. 

Facilities Manager will lead/supervise and coordinate maintenance teams, manage vendor relationships, and oversee budgets related to facility operations, develop and implement strategic plans for facility improvements and sustainability initiatives. 


Education and Experience:

Preferred: Master’s in business management or related field. Three years’ experience in facilities management, state licensing regulations for childcare centers, and building maintenance and construction codes.

Accepted: Bachelor’s in management or business-related field. Five years’ experience in facilities management, state licensing regulations for childcare centers, and building maintenance and construction codes. 

  

Essential Functions:  

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and safety of building systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective facility services.
  • Follow all competitive bidding requirements, and ensure appropriate federal, state, and local laws are met during the construction or renovation process.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to building safety, environmental standards, and accessibility are followed.
  • Broad knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Ensure implementation of a system for monitoring facilities, including regular maintenance and repair schedules.
  • Provide supervision and technical assistance to the Maintenance Technicians. 



Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: 

  • Ability to communicate, receive, and transfer written, oral, and electronic information effectively. 
  • Computer skills including Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Ability to develop proposals and construction schedules. 
  • Knowledge of building codes and other laws/regulations.  
  • Ability to work with multiple deadlines. 
  • Ability to establish vendor relationships to benefit Grow Early Learning. 
  • Work in a Team Environment.
  •  Valid driver’s license and maintain insurable driving record
