Landscaper – Property Management

About the Role

We're hiring a Landscaper to take ownership of the grounds across our Milwaukee properties. This is primarily a grounds and landscaping role, with a smaller share of your time supporting our Cleaning Technician on move-out turnover tasks — and backing them up entirely when they're out.

This is a full-time, field-based position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with seasonal adjustments for snow removal coverage. You'll be moving between all five of our Milwaukee properties regularly, working closely with our Cleaning Technician counterpart, and reporting directly to Brittany, our Property Services Manager.

What You'll Do

• Own the day-to-day appearance of the grounds at all five properties — this is your territory
• Mow, edge, and maintain lawns on a consistent schedule
• Pull weeds and keep landscaped beds clean and maintained
• Walk each property regularly to pick up trash and debris before it accumulates
• Handle snow and ice removal from walkways, entrances, and common areas during winter months, working alongside the rest of the snow crew — this isn't a solo job
• Flag any larger grounds or exterior issues (irrigation, fencing, trees) to Brittany
• Assist with move-out cleanouts — removing abandoned furniture and bulk items left behind
• Change locks and rekey units as part of the turnover process
• Support move-out and turn timelines when the Cleaning Technician needs an extra set of hands
• Backup coverage: you and our Cleaning Technician cover for each other. If they're out sick or running behind, we'll need you to step in on cleaning tasks — including stove and fridge cleans — so things don't fall behind. It's part of how the two roles support each other.

Who This Role Is For

Strong fit if you:

• Genuinely enjoy landscaping and grounds work, not just tolerate it
• Take ownership of an area and keep it consistently sharp
• Are reliable, show up on time, and don't need to be reminded twice
• Can step up and cover a cleaning task when your teammate is out, without complaint

Not a Fit For You

• Are looking for a repair/maintenance technician or renovation role
• Want a role that's entirely cleaning-focused — that's our Cleaning Technician position

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (required — you'll be moving between properties daily)
• Personal cell phone for daily coordination and photo documentation (required)
• Hands-on landscaping or grounds-keeping experience preferred
• Comfortable with physical, outdoor work in all seasons, including snow removal
• Reliable and on time, every day — this role depends on it, since the backup system only works if both people show up
• Willing to step into cleaning tasks when needed to cover for your counterpart
• Authorized to work in the United States
• A strong plus: experience in property management or multifamily grounds maintenance, or experience operating landscaping equipment

Pay

• $16/hour to start
• $18/hour automatically after your first 90 days
• Monthly gas stipend for travel between properties

Benefits & Growth

• Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision)
• Generous PTO — above industry average
• Uniform, tools, and equipment provided
• Hands-on training and room to grow as our portfolio expands

A Final Note

We're a small, growing company that takes care of our people. We hire carefully because we want this to be a long-term fit — not a revolving door. If you take pride in your work and show up consistently, you'll thrive here.
