Rutherford Management Company is seeking to hire an experienced Leasing Consultant. Our Leasing Consultants are expected to lead by example, setting the standard for excellence in customer service.

Compensation and Benefits

A Day in the Life of a Leasing Consultant

As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting market studies, creating and implementing marketing plans, placing ads to generate traffic, securing appointments, and maximizing rentals. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in creating positive and memorable customer experiences, ensuring that our properties are market-ready, and performing all administrative duties related to securing leases and renewals. This position also involves providing high-quality customer service, managing service requests, and helping to create a quality living environment for our residents.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in sales or customer service-related positions. Prior property management experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. OneSite proficiency preferred.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Strong passion for leasing apartments in a customer service-focused environment.
• Core Competencies: strong interpersonal skills, leadership excellence, effective communication, proactive problem-solving, and self-management.
• High school or equivalent education required.
• For Leasing Consultants assigned to more than one property location, daily travel between the properties is required. Travel is also required for monthly Manager Meetings, company training events, budget or financial review meetings, and special project events.

Work Schedule

Work hours are generally 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Schedules may vary based on business needs, including periods of high vacancy, lease-up activity, or special projects. Properties with occupancy below 95% are required to offer weekend leasing tours. In these cases, team members may be scheduled to work Saturdays, with regular days off scheduled on Sundays and Tuesdays.
