Fogelman is seeking an experienced Leasing Manager to join the team at Ashby at Ross Bridge Apartments in the Hoover area. We are looking for an outgoing and professional individual to lead marketing and leasing efforts as well as to assist with the accounting duties.  This is a 2-person office and Saturday work schedule may be required. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of sales or leasing experience with a strong marketing background.  Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and exceptional customer service skills, strong sales, accounting and collection skills, and be comfortable using social media and marketing tools. Experience with Yardi, CRM, and YieldStar is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interviews prospective residents and records information to ascertain needs and qualifications.
  • Accompanies prospects to model/vacant apartments and discusses size and layout of rooms, available amenities, and terms of lease.
  • Ensures consistent follow-up with prospects.
  • Processes application for approval in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for processing lease renewals.
  • Mentors and trains Leasing Consultant
  • Walks all move-in's prior to the move in date to ensure readiness.
  • Follow up with new residents after move in.
  • Inspects condition of premises periodically and arranges for necessary maintenance.
  • Plans and coordinates resident events.
  • Courteous, efficient handling of resident requests and complaints.
  • Manage all marketing duties including preparation of market surveys and social media postings 
  • Responsible for preparing all month-end close out reports including Occupancy month end, Accounting month end, and processing Statement of Deposit Accounts (SODA).
  • Contacting delinquent residents via letters and in person for payment with a goal of $0 due by accounting month end.
  • Assists with sending out all resident notices.
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Adhere to all company policies including but not limited to safety and Fair Housing.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Experience as a leasing professional
  • Up to one year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with virtual and in person community tours is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of property management platforms (i.e., Yardi, Entrata, Yieldstar, CRM) preferred.
  • Marketing skills with the ability to execute a property marketing plan through outside marketing, social media and resident functions (familiar with the local market) preferred.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required

  • Possible exposure to caustics, solvents, oils, fumes, flammables, pesticides, etc.
