As Leasing Manager, you will lead the charge in bringing this new community to life through strong sales performance and team leadership. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a high‑energy lease‑up, motivates others, and brings enthusiasm, creativity, and focus to achieving leasing and occupancy goals.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Supervise and assist Leasing Consultants with a variety of administrative tasks geared toward the goal of maximum occupancy by quality residents and performs other functions as assigned by the Community Manager. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the Corporate Office, therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
- Supervise and assist Leasing Consultants providing tours of apartments to prospective residents; runs credit reports on prospective residents; prepares lease packets; inspects apartments prior to showing them.
- Maintains logs of traffic through the property, crossfire, and follow up.
- Leases units; provides information over the telephone to prospective residents.
- Maintains a visible public relations’ attitude toward current and prospective residents.
- Maintain Marketing Binders, Shopping reports and Outreach Marketing.
- Meets weekly with Leasing Consultants to set goals and target apartments and ensure that they understand the current pricing package, specials, and concessions.
- Performs quarterly marketing surveys.
OCCASIONAL FUNCTIONS:
- Typing and filing property–related reports.
- May be asked to assist with rent collection, bank deposits, or other general errands.
- May be asked to assist with resident retention activities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduation and a sales/marketing/public relations
- Preferred: Some advanced real estate training, including familiarity with the Landlord-Tenant and Fair Housing laws, and prior experience in a leasing position.
- Fair Housing Certification
- Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle)
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- Physical Activities up to and including, typing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or sitting for periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
GENERAL:
- Hours worked will coincide with the hours of operation in the community. This position may be required to work on weekends as necessary.
