Maintenance And Facilities Manager

Location: Boerne, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Some after-hours and emergency response required beyond this M-F 8-5 job 

Salary: $55K Depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance and custodial operations in a manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for maintaining facility systems, overseeing maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, and ensuring equipment reliability to support daily production.

About the role - You won't be doing the same thing twice. One day you're wiring a charging station, the next you're troubleshooting a polishing machine or setting up a new workstation. If you're the kind of person who takes pride in keeping a facility running right , then this role was built for you."


What you'll actually do

  • Service and repair polishing machines and production equipment
  • Build and install charging stations, including all electrical connections
  • Set up and wire new workstations from scratch
  • Handle plumbing: toilets, drains, sewer-level issues
  • Replace light fixtures, assemble furniture, perform carpentry work
  • Support compliance programs: phone shredding, cardboard bins, pallet recycling
  • Manage HVAC, electrical, and building systems for 24/7 uptime
  • Help estimate budgets and costs for specific repair projects
  • Oversee and schedule custodial and maintenance staff
  • Monitor maintenance inventory and supplies
  • Assist with maintenance budgets and repair cost estimates
  • Coordinate and oversee outside contractors
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies

Requirements

  

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in facilities, manufacturing, or multi-trade maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and hydraulics
  • Comfortable reading equipment manuals and work orders
  • Experience supervising or coordinating a small team
  • High school diploma or equivalent; AA in mechanical or industrial maintenance a preferred. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred

  • Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance
  • Completion of a maintenance or skilled trades apprenticeship program

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to plan maintenance schedules and projects
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and facility systems
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work throughout the facility daily
  • Lift and move up to 75+ pounds
  • Work around moving machinery, vibration, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures
  • Perform indoor and outdoor maintenance work in all seasons
