Maintenance Director

We’re currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance and safety of our building, equipment, and grounds.

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Director is responsible for ensuring that the facility, including all buildings, utilities, equipment, and grounds, is safe, operational, and well-maintained in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, general repairs, and facility improvements.
  • Maintain all aspects of the building, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural integrity.
  • Ensure lawn and grounds are well-maintained and presentable at all times.
  • Coordinate and supervise external contractors for major repairs or construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Life Safety Codes and all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain an organized system for documenting maintenance logs and inspections.
  • Supervise and perform floor care tasks as needed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or healthcare setting.
  • Strong and full working knowledge of Life Safety Regulations is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and families.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
