Position: Maintenance Manager

Location: Towne Properties - Columbus, OH (exact location will be disclosed during interview process)

Scheduled Hours: Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm, with an on-call rotation

Pay Rate: $30-35/hour, plus commissions, incentives, and bonus potential



Who You Are:

  • Experience: 2+ years in multi-family residential maintenance.
  • Skills: HVAC experience, and general maintenance knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, apartment turnovers, grounds, lighting, and more.
  • Customer Service: Utilize excellent communication and a cheerful outlook when addressing residents’ needs.
  • Initiative-taking: Ability to work independently and efficiently; motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Diligence: Keen focus on delivering high-quality work and maintaining thoroughness in a busy environment.
  • Tools: Own basic hand tools.
  • Tech Savvy: Basic computer and/or smartphone skills.
  • Essentials: Valid driver’s license with a reliable truck or van for work use and auto-insurance.
  • Compliance: Willing to submit to a drug and background check if offered the position.


What You'll Do as a Maintenance Manager:

  • Maintenance Tasks: Perform preventative maintenance tasks and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical components, swimming pool equipment, grounds, appliances, locks, carpentry, glazing, roofing, blacktop, concrete, and signage. Ensure that units undergoing turnover meet maintenance standards.
  • Work Orders: Complete work orders from residents while keeping the community in pristine condition.
  • Emergency Response: Address emergencies as situations arise or while on call.
  • Prepare: Conduct regular inspections of the property and equipment to assess service needs and determine the extent of maintenance required. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order supplies, as necessary.
  • Safety: Ensure that essential safety equipment such as fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, company equipment, and tools are well-maintained and in good working condition.
  • Manage: Assist supervisor in preparing the maintenance budget as needed. Supervise, guide, and mentor a team to ensure high-quality maintenance services.
