This is a hands-on Maintenance Manager position that will work in collaboration with property management to perform building maintenance functions and oversee the budget and vendor contracts for Roseland Place, an apartment community for seniors in Chicago.

Pay: $30-32/hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do
Duties
- Patch and paint walls, trim, and ceilings.
- Clean, repair, and maintain appliances.
- Prepare units for new residents, including completing necessary turnover work.
- Perform routine plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Manage day-to-day maintenance functions.
- Assist with maintenance budget oversight.
- Coordinate and manage vendor contracts in collaboration with the property management team.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience in skilled maintenance work.
- Technical expertise in one or more building trade.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certifications.
Knowledge and Skills
- Work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment.
- Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing. Present information to groups of people.
- Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
- Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints. Draft working sketches.
- Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
- Effectively oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle.
