Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Manage large affordable properties, ideally 400 or more units.
  • Work with a large team of employees, 10 or more.
  • Work independently and make sound judgments.
  • Organize and manage the team effectively.
  • Manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with multiple agencies, including the county of Henrico.
  • Manage HUD properties and ensure compliance with HUD inspections (MOR and NSPIRE).
  • Complete annual recertifications in a timely manner.
  • Handle budgeting, including preparing budgets and adhering to them.
  • Collect rent timely and follow a collection policy.

Experience you will need:

  • Proven track record managing large affordable properties.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in affordable housing.
  • Experience working with a large team of employees.
  • Extensive background in managing HUD properties.
  • Experience in LIHTC (Tax Credit).
  • Ideally, experience in Yardi or similar property management software.
  • Proven track record in budgeting and financial management.
