This role will cover Auburn Medical Center, Covington Medical Center and other facilities affiliated with these hospitals in the area.

FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: Monday-Friday

Position Summary

The Manager of Engineering Services is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all activities of the Construction/Trades division, Operating Engineers, HVAC Technicians, Maintenance Mechanics, and Engineering Technicians to ensure the assigned facilities are furnished with uninterrupted utility services, general maintenance of buildings (interior and exterior), preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, and mechanical and electrical systems. The Manager provides direct and indirect supervision of staff in assigned area; collaborates with the Manager, Systems Sustainability and Safety and individual Subject Matter Experts to develop short- and long-term plans and to ensure the assigned areas meet all Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.

Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or ability to obtain in three (3) years
  • Experience in all trades
  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity
  • Five (5) years facilities experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Professional Engineering license in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred)
  • Consideration may be provided to internal candidates not meeting the education requirement

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $101,545.60 - $146,140.80 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
