Assistant Property Manager Job Highlights:

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, occasional weekends 

  • This is a LIHTC site that accepts Section 8 vouchers
  • Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour based on experience

About the job:

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the entire property/properties. Perform all administrative duties for both internal and external agencies and maintain positive relationships with the residents of the property.

Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • High School Diploma, plus a minimum of two (2) years of related experience in property management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet all assigned deadlines.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and high level of flexibility.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with limited supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Solid understanding of Fair Housing laws.
  • Must have a valid driver license, and reliable transportation. (Some travel may be required.)

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional certification preferred (CMH, ARM, CAM, RAM).
  • Knowledge of computer operations, including basic data entry.

Essentials: 

  • Assist in managing all aspects of building's occupancy and maintenance.
  • Responsible for processing background checks, rental applications, certifications, rent calculations and prepare leasing documents in accordance with the regulatory agency’s specification and Fair Housing Laws.
  • Coordinate with tenants, maintenance team and third party vendors to address maintenance issues. Includes producing work orders and entering the completion of work orders.
  • Rent collection and posting. Record all rents, assist with payables.
  • Assist with quarterly unit inspections and assign needed repairs.
  • Assist in preparing property and files for all state and internal audits.
  • Maintain resident and property files and waiting lists.
  • Prepare all notices to residents.
  • Represent the company in a positive, professional manner to all callers, guests and staff.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
