Purpose of Facilities Manager:
●        Oversee the maintenance, security, and daily operations of church buildings and grounds to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
●        Oversee care of the building & property, ensuring grounds are clean, well maintained, and secure
  •  Routinely walk the facility and grounds to ensure facilities are in a safe, well maintained, and clean condition
  •  Coordinate snow removal during winter months
●        Oversee set up of rooms, and schedule volunteers for times when unable to do so personally
●        Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure that equipment is maintained and functional:
  •  Research and obtain bids
  •  Negotiate contracts in accordance with OSLC’s governing documents
  •  Schedule meetings with vendors
  •  Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
  • Follow up on issues, contract renewals, etc.  
●        Direct janitorial/cleaning of the building

●        Ensure compliance with all fire codes and licensure requirements through scheduling of assessments and maintaining records on                     equipment and repairs
●        Receive calls as the first point of contact for off-hour emergencies
●        Implement a system to document and resolve all maintenance & property concerns from staff, members, and vendors
 
Qualifications:
●        3-5 years of facility maintenance experience preferred
●        Bachelor’s degree preferred, or comparable experience
●        Knowledge of facility maintenance, equipment, and procedures
●        Familiarity with business procedures including researching and obtaining bids
●        Possess good judgment and strong interpersonal & communication skills
●        Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
●        Ability to climb stairs and ladders
●        Adherence to OSHA standards regarding cleaning & maintenance
 
Proficiency or Familiarity With: 
●        Microsoft Word
●        Google products
●        Emergency First Aid/CPR certified or ability to be certified
 
Working Relationships: 
●        Reports to Lead Pastor
●        Liaison to Property Team, Landscape Team, Emergency Response Team, and regular property volunteers
 
Compensation & Benefits
  •   $25-$30 per hour depending on experience
