About the Role
Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and personable Leasing Agent to join our build-to-rent (BTR) construction company and property management team. This role is critical in bringing new communities to life by actively marketing available homes, driving occupancy, and delivering an exceptional leasing experience from first inquiry through move-in.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and relationship-focused, with a strong ability to convert leads into signed leases while maintaining a high level of professionalism and communication across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales
- Actively market available homes to generate and convert leads into leases
- Conduct property tours for prospective residents, showcasing features and benefits of the community
- Follow up consistently with prospects and applicants to drive application completion and lease execution
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency in filling vacancies and meeting occupancy goals
Marketing & Outreach
- Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote the community
- Coordinate and host leasing events, open houses, and promotional activities
- Maintain online listings and ensure accurate, appealing property representation
Customer Experience & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current residents
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the leasing process
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for applicants regarding community offerings, policies, and lease terms
Application & Lease Management
- Process applications, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with applicants
- Prepare, review, and execute lease agreements in compliance with company policies
- Maintain organized and up-to-date leasing records and documentation
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the property management and construction teams to stay informed on unit availability and readiness
- Communicate effectively regarding move-in timelines, property updates, and any leasing-related needs
- Provide feedback from prospects to help improve operations and marketing strategies
Qualifications
- Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred (property management experience a plus)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
- Ability to manage multiple prospects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with leasing software and CRM tools is a plus
