Leasing Consultant Qualifications:

  • 2 years of property leasing required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Confidence in showing and leasing apartments, answering the telephone, and greeting prospective tenants in the leasing office.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, and the ability to learn and retain knowledge of operating the Property Management Software (Yardi)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Leasing Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and prospective residents and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Provide a professional and engaging experience for prospects while touring the apartment homes and community.
  • Maintain consistent resident retention with a focus on the resolution of resident conflicts and problems.
  • Develop a strong rapport with residents and be able to enforce community rules and regulations, as necessary.
  • Process applications and lease renewals and complete all related paperwork accurately and correctly.
  • Proactively manage sales, outreach, and lead generation.
  • Work with the maintenance department to ensure apartment turnovers are completed on time.
  • Recognize opportunities for problem resolution and establishing good customer relations,
  • Recognize trends in customer issues and advise management.
