SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager leads the transformation of the site’s maintenance function, driving innovation and operational excellence to achieve world-class reliability and performance. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive maintenance strategy, fully implementing the site’s CMMS, and embedding best practices for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Drive Transformation & Innovation – Lead the modernization of the maintenance program using advanced tools, technologies, and processes to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Cultivate Collaboration – Partner with operations, engineering, safety, and finance teams to align maintenance priorities with production goals and business needs.
- Leverage Difference – Integrate diverse perspectives and expertise from across the site to strengthen problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvements.
- Be Accountable – Own the site’s CMMS rollout and ensure accurate tracking for preventive maintenance, instrumentation calibrations, and work orders.
- Oversee due diligence, planning, and execution of a robust maintenance program.
- Develop and document standards for maintenance processes, procedures, and equipment.
- Lead root cause analyses, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support project planning.
- Establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
- Partner with site leadership to develop maintenance budgets and ensure costs are tracked at the most detailed level.
- Maintain a site-level Continuous Improvement blueprint to elevate operational capabilities.
- Standardize lubrication and predictive maintenance programs.
- Develop maintenance benchmarking programs and monitor KPIs to measure performance
- Create and maintain critical equipment spare parts lists and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Implement an inventory management program that integrates with finance systems for transparency and cost control.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience considered.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of implementing CMMS systems and driving maintenance process improvements.
- Strong understanding of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Proficient in CMMS implementation, administration, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrumentation systems.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis (RCA) tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of lubrication programs, calibration processes, and spare parts inventory management.
- Working knowledge of relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead transformation initiatives that improve maintenance performance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret maintenance data and drive evidence-based decisions.
- Skilled in developing and tracking maintenance KPIs and benchmarking programs.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, prioritizing, and executing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.
- Competence in budgeting and cost control for maintenance operations.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing maintenance team.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, industrial noise, varying temperatures, and occasional dust or fumes.
- The role requires regular walking, standing, climbing stairs, and navigating around equipment and production areas.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Ability to wear respiratory protection if required for specific tasks.
- Work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday; however, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and respond to emergencies or on-call situations is required.
- Occasional travel may be required for training, vendor meetings, or corporate initiatives.
