Maintenance Manager

HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 32 facilities in eight countries.

Currently, we are seeking a Maintenance Manager to become a part of the HIROTEC team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall plant maintenance and other directives as requested by management.
  • Direct all activity of the maintenance department.
  • Prepare and coordinate maintenance schedules and project and allocate work.
  • Develop and analyze staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance to work schedules, making necessary adjustments where needed. 
  • Support the effective and efficient operation of all plant activities by working with all departments to assure effective teamwork, equipment, and personnel.
  • Analyze downtime and frequent issues to understand root causes and create/implement countermeasures.
  • Establish and administer system for equipment/asset care and Planned Preventative Maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Assist in Administration and IT duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications and utilize measurement tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, procedures, and instructions.
  • Quote and prepare cost estimates for projects and examine cost estimates and proposals before approving.
  • Approve expenses, manages budget, and follows up on various costs related to the department and operations.
  • Investigate and recommend purchase of equipment and supplies for maintenance department.
  • Manage/Monitor spare parts inventory/ordering.
  • Request bids and supervise work performed by outside contractors.
  • Responsible for leading, training, mentoring, and evaluating performance of individuals in the maintenance department.
  • Responsible for and supports personnel in achieving company goals of Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.
  • Monitor and continually improve processes and personnel performance to achieve enhanced levels of efficiency.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for expenses, maintenance, safety, etc.
  • Review work instructions, offer technical guidance, review progress, and advise changes, if required.
  • Work with 2D and 3D computer-aided design and manufacturing software such as CAD or CAM.
  • Participate in and support 5S, Quality, Safety, Delivery, Cost, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing activities.
  • Maintain and improve high product quality by setting/managing proper welding conditions.
  • Educate/train maintenance staff on performing maintenance and improvement activities of robot operation on production line(s).
  • Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company.
