Job Summary
Richelieu Foods, Inc., a leading supplier of high-quality private brand food products to the retail and food service industries, is seeking a Maintenance Manager who will lead our (Site – TBD), plant’s Maintenance team. The continued growth of our business requires a dedicated and proven leader able to work closely with all departments. The ability to build, transform and lead a successful team and provide clear direction and instruction is essential.
This is a key leadership role that will contribute to the creation and implementation of a best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, and processes that drive the continuous improvement and employee engagement that are required to achieve operational excellence objectives.
Essential Functions
· Drive a safety culture that prioritizes safe work practices and procedures, ensure all Maintenance activities align with regulatory requirements that may apply, e.g., OSHA, EPA, USDA, state and local building and fire code regulations.
· Manage, coach, recruit and develop an engaged, high performing Maintenance team (Supervisors, Leads and Technicians) that meets agreed objectives, delivers best practice results, and values continuous improvement.
· Consistently develop the maintenance system framework and set high standards that deliver rapid and significant performance improvement results.
· Develop, maintain, and optimize the predictive, planned, and preventive maintenance procedures.
· Proactively collaborate daily with the manufacturing team to improve overall operations through supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities, processes and procedures that drive OEE improvements.
· Implements and manages the companies Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to drive maintenance improvements in the following areas:
o Tracking downtime losses and monitoring improvement plans.
o Monthly KPI reports on Maintenance and reliability metrics.
o Work order tracking to document where hours are being spent.
o Maintenance scheduling to ensure the highest level of departmental coverage.
o Maintaining an adequate spare parts inventory, avoiding stock-outs.
o Maintains vendor contact lists and emergency response resources.
· Develops and manages Maintenance expense budgets in alignment with Corporate / Plant Budgets and financial goals.
· Assist in compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.
· In conjunction with the Corporate Engineering Team, identifies capital equipment needs for production equipment and the facility. Contributes maintenance expertise to new business initiatives as needed.
· Communicates and enforces all Company, Plant and Departmental work rules and policies. Ensure consistency with communication across all shifts within the Maintenance Department.
· Works closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure that works orders are being completed in a timely and efficient manner. Provides any support Maintenance staff may need to execute the work orders.
· Manages housekeeping and 5S activities to keep the Maintenance area clean and organized.
· All other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of Maintenance Management, Facilities Management, or related field experience.
· Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience.
· Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
· Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).
· Basic knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.
· Experience with internal and external customers and local contractors.
· Proficient user of Microsoft Office suites.
· Knowledge of CMMS systems (Emaint or SAP preferred) or similar software experience.

Desired Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
· Experience in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.

Work Environment
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to hot, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.
The following information is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Compensation is based on experience, geographic locations, and other legally permitted factors. The expected compensation range for this role is $105,000 to $130,000. This role may also be eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Benefits for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance; pre-tax spending accounts; 401K with company match; paid time off; short-term and long-term disability; and life insurance
