Job DetailsJob Location: Lynn Plant - Lynn, MA 01901Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 SalaryTo be an effective Maintenance Manager within the Kettle Cuisine facility supporting Operations. Kettle Cuisine takes the utmost pride in their products and expects each employee to do the same with their work. Role and Responsibilities Safety: Understand and comply with safe work practices and procedures so as to create and maintain a safe working environment. Quality: Understands and complies with all Kettle Cuisine and USDA quality procedures and regulations to ensure we provide safe and top quality product to consumers. Follow the company GMP’s. Comply with Company Policies and Procedures. Manage all department employees to meet assigned prioritized workload and work schedule safely. Develops, coordinates and administers a daily and weekly Maintenance Plan of Preventative services and corrective work orders requested by Maintenance technicians, Operations and QA Staff. Prioritizes response to ensure the availability and safe operation of equipment. Ensure staffing of the department and approve and schedule overtime, vacations, and off time. Manage the utilization and lead continuous improvement of CMMS application to manage work, work requests from others, department KPI and document completed work for regulatory and food safety matters. Communicates conditions of equipment by completing appropriate maintenance records, transferring knowledge of conditions to incoming mechanics at shift change, and informing his supervisor of significant problems. Leads communication of equipment availability and impact with Production, QA and Planning teams. Lead planning of major equipment refurbishment and facility corrective action activities to align with operations schedule and available downtimes. Makes appropriate requests for system downtime to complete tasks. Oversee maintenance department spending and purchasing to maintain adherence to period budgets while maintaining equipment availability, understands cost drivers, and variances and contributes to budget forecasting and planning. Oversee the appropriate inventory level of necessary spare parts to support the timely execute of repairs and regular consumable items. Manages all building utilities and relationships with external providers to ensure agreed availability and efficiency improvements within budgeted costs. Diagnose, Repair and replace/install parts as and when required to guarantee utility availability. Coordinate and manage external contractors for specialized troubleshooting, repairs and refurbishment of equipment and facility infrastructure in compliance with Kettle, GMP, and OSHA standards. Contribute to capital planning process by providing maintenance department input for future projects which would improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs. Assists engineering with the installation of equipment and supports the transition of new assets into operation and lifecycle support. Supports EHS function and works with local authorities to ensure compliance with all regulatory matters. Organize and monitor compliance with statutory and Kettle Cuisine health and safety requirements. Help Set standards, organize procedures and measure performance to ensure continuous improvement. Mentor and develop new Maintenance technicians to grow their careers and contributions to Kettle Cuisine. Any other tasks deemed reasonable and reasonably requested by management. As A Leader Within the Kettle Cuisine Team You Are Expected To:  Model and support Kettle’s Core Values and safety culture Manage performance of all team members Build a strong, committed, and collaborative team Develop individual team members & their careers Conduct annual reviews and PDPs for all direct team members Create a culture of accountability & performance Drive a focus on quality and continuous improvement Plan work, track results and resolve variances Qualifications and Education Requirements BS Engineering degree preferred, Vocational Schooling or Equivalent Education, Experience and Training. Minimum of five years of maintenance leadership experience in food manufacturing; preferred 10+ years of engineering, facilities management, utility management, and/or supervision within a manufacturing environment. Detailed knowledge and experience with process systems, equipment, automation & controls within food manufacturing industry. Working knowledge of GMP, GFSI (SQF or BRC), and OSHA regulations relevant to food manufacturing. Effective Communication skills, interpersonal skills needed for working and developing people in a team environment. Experienced with utilizing, enhancing, and managing work processes and maintenance performance metrics and reporting utilizing CMMS software. Experience with plant utility systems: boilers, ammonia & freon refrigeration, compressed air, HVAC, and wastewater. Experience coordinating and managing external resources to perform building and equipment maintenance. Must possess knowledge of basic electrical systems, electrical safety, PLC’s, instrumentation, and machinery safety systems. Be able to work in hot and cold conditions. Ability to work overtime and weekends as necessary, including some holiday periods. Preferred: Bilingual English and Spanish or some Spanish competency. Qualifications
