Build Your Career in Property Management at Palmetto Woods!

Are you an organized, people-oriented professional who enjoys variety, solving problems, and being part of a team? We’re looking for an Office Associate who wants more than a traditional administrative position and is interested in building a career in property management

Palmetto Woods is a family-owned residential subdivision focused on selling new and preowned manufactured homes as well as leasing and is located 1 mile from Shaw Air Force Base.

In this role, you’ll be an important part of the day-to-day operation of our community. You’ll work with residents, vendors, employees, and management while gaining hands-on experience in the many areas of property management. Every day brings something different—from helping a resident resolve an issue to coordinating tenant repairs, maintaining records, supporting the other team members, and helping keep the community running smoothly.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, personable, and eager to learn and who would like to grow within the property management industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for residents, visitors, vendors, and employees.
  • Handle daily office operations, including phones, emails, mail, packages, deliveries, and general correspondence.
  • Respond to resident questions and requests and help resolve issues with professionalism and excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, files, databases, and other important property documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, inspections, and other community activities.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, notices, and other documents.
  • Prioritize resident communications and community operations.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff and outside vendors regarding service requests and property-related issues.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and monitor office inventory.
  • Assist Management with special projects and administrative responsibilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive resident and company information appropriately.
  • Learn and apply landlord-tenant law, applicable housing regulations, company policies, and fair housing requirements.
  • Perform other duties that support the successful operation of the community.
Why This Is More Than an Office Job

This position allows you to learn the property management business from the inside out. You’ll gain exposure to resident relations, maintenance coordination, vendor management, office administration, compliance, and daily community operations.

For the right person, this can be a starting point for a long-term career in property management, with opportunities to take on additional responsibility as your knowledge and experience grow.

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of administrative, customer service, property management, real estate, or related experience. Property management or real estate experience is a plus!
  • Willing to train the right candidate who has the right attitude and transferable skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional, friendly, and confident when interacting with residents and the public.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams. Must be able to learn proprietary software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to walk throughout the community and lift, move, or carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
The Person Who Will Thrive in This Role

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through, enjoys helping people, and doesn’t wait to be told what needs to be done. If you’re looking for an opportunity to learn a business, develop professionally, and become an important part of a property management team, we’d like to meet you.

If you’re ready for your next opportunity and interested in building a career in property management, we encourage you to apply.
