Position Summary

A well-capitalized, large privately held commercial real estate firm headquartered in Irvine, CA is looking for an experienced, energetic & creative Regional Facilities Manager to oversee property operations of a portfolio of industrial, retail, hospitality and commercial office buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage capital and tenant improvement projects, including projects required by lenders and insurance providers.
  • Oversee daily property operations and vendor performance to ensure properties are maintained to company standards.
  • Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance, repair, and improvement opportunities. 
  • Recommend, coordinate, and oversee repairs, alterations, and preventative maintenance opportunities. 
  • Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships and service agreements. 
  • Assist with leasing activities and tenant support as needed. 
  • Support the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets. 
  • Assist in preparing monthly executive and financial reports, including variance explanations. 
  • Partner with acquisition and disposition teams by participating in due diligence activities and property transitions. 
  • Provide oversite of third-party property management companies for assigned assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial property operations, construction management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing commercial property portfolios preferred. 
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent relationship-building skills.  
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with contractors, tenants, brokers, vendors, ownership, and internal stakeholders. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 
  • Accurately perform basic mathematical functions

Computer Skills:

  • Experience with Yardi property management software preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and internet skills. 
  • Experience using commercial property management software.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee will be regularly required to sit; stand; walk; reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands; talk and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to climb. The employee will be required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time. Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as business needs require.

Attendance/Travel:

  • Travel is required to properties within the portfolio. The position requires occasional overnight travel, evenings, weekends, holidays, and attendance at company meetings or events across the country may be required.
