About the Role

Are you a facilities leader who understands that a ceiling tile or an HVAC setback can impact patient safety?

We are seeking a hands-on Regional Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across healthcare facilities in WA.

Salary: $100k-$120k DOE

What You’ll Own:

  • Regulatory Compliance First: Ensure all sites meet TJC, CMS, NFPA 99/101, OSHA, and local health department standards. Lead mock surveys and correct deficiencies before they become citations.

  • Preventative & Predictive Maintenance: Implement and audit PM programs for critical systems: HVAC (OR/ICU pressurization), medical gas, backup generators, fire alarms/suppression, nurse call, and pneumatic tube systems.

  • Life Safety & Infection Control: Partner with clinical leadership to coordinate maintenance during active patient care—including barrier construction, negative air, and ILSM/ICRA protocols.

  • Regional Team Leadership: Supervise onsite maintenance managers and techs across [3–7] facilities. Drive training on code compliance, emergency response, and CMMS usage.

  • Budget & Capital Planning: Manage R&M budgets ($X–$Y M), negotiate vendor contracts (elevator, chiller, bio-med integration), and recommend capital replacements before failure.

  • Emergency Response: Lead regional disaster readiness (power outages, floods, boiler failures). Be the on-call escalation point for after-hours facility emergencies.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of facilities management experience in acute care hospitals or large medical campuses.

  • Deep knowledge of NFPA 99 (Health Care Facilities Code) and The Joint Commission Environment of Care (EC) standards.

  • Proven experience with CMMS (e.g., TMA, Maximo, Maintenance Connection) and reading MEP/architectural drawings.

  • Ability to explain technical risks to non-facilities leaders (CEO, CNO, Risk Management).

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally with short notice.

  • (Preferred) CFM, CHFM, or FMP certification; experience with medical gas systems (ASSE 6040) and backup generator load banking.
