Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization’s facilities portfolio. This role oversees facilities supervisors and specialists, manages vendor partnerships, controls budgets, and ensures facilities operations align with business objectives, safety standards, and regulatory requirements across all assigned locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute facilities strategies that support operational efficiency, scalability, and business growth
  • Lead and manage Facilities Supervisors and Specialists; set expectations, evaluate performance, and support professional development
  • Ensure consistent execution of maintenance, repairs, and service delivery across all locations
  • Own and manage preventative maintenance programs with a strong focus on HVAC systems, ensuring equipment reliability, lifecycle planning, seasonal readiness, and compliance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements
  • Negotiate, manage, and evaluate vendor contracts and service-level agreements to ensure quality and cost effectiveness
  • Own facilities budgets, forecast expenses, approve invoices, and identify cost-optimization opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and building regulations; oversee audits and inspections
  • Plan and oversee renovations, relocations, and capital improvement projects
  • Establish KPIs, analyze performance trends, and report facilities performance to leadership
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and best practices across the facilities function

Skills and Knowledge

Ability to align facilities initiatives with organizational goals, Ability to manage multiple capital and operational projects simultaneously, Clear, professional communication with executives, internal partners, and external vendors, Experience negotiating contracts and managing complex vendor relationships, Identify and mitigate operational, safety, and compliance risks, Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop multi-level facilities teams, Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control skills, Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, preventative maintenance programs, and building infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business, engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of facilities operations experience with management responsibility
  • Must be able to support after-hours as needed
  • Demonstrated experience managing preventative maintenance programs, including HVAC systems
  • Ability to manage facilities across multiple locations and time zones 
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment
  • Able to clearly view and read information on a computer screen
  • Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds

Travel Requirements

  • Must be able to make regular site visits as needed

Pay Range

$90,000.00 - $115,000.00
