We're looking for a territory Facilities Manager who thrives in a fast-moving environment, takes ownership, and is excited to help scale and support our growing portfolio of clubs. This is a remote role; however we require this role to be based in the Chicagoland/Illinois area.
This is a hands-on, field-facing role based out of our corporate team, supporting clubs across IL, IN, WI, CO, OK, and NE. You'll work closely with club and regional leadership to keep facilities running safely, efficiently, and at a high standard--while solving real problems and driving improvements that directly impact the member and team experience.

COMPENSATION DETAILS
- $75,000--$95,000 base salary
- 5% annual bonus potential
- $5000 annual car allowance
KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND COMPETENCIES
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations of the facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems.
- Provide feedback and updates on work to the General Manager, District Manager, and Facilities team
- Participate in district or regional clubs needing maintenance support as needed.
- Maintenance Management: Develop and implement maintenance schedules for routine and preventive maintenance of building systems and equipment. Maintain and repair all areas of the facility, property, and assets (equipment, pools, spa, steam room, sauna, etc.)
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for services such as cleaning, security, and repairs.
- Work with external contractor to schedule, deploy work, and verify that the work is completed appropriately.
- Partner with the Landlord/Property management to communicate maintenance issues to include, roof leaks, parking lot/landscaping, and building structural issues.
- Provide approvals for external contractor work within the regional budget.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure the safety of our members, staff, and assets -- Inspecting equipment, performing club walks, and communicating to club leadership.
- Emergency Response: Assist in emergency situations
- Space Planning: Oversee space planning and allocation to ensure optimal use of available space.
- Project Management: Lead and manage facility-related projects, including renovations, expansions, and new constructions.
- Assist with special projects throughout the district and region.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and provide guidance to facilities staff, including training and performance evaluations within designated region. Typically manages a team of 2-5 direct reports across the region.
- Responsible for recruiting/hiring and training facilities support team.
- Responsible for providing daily priorities and cadence for each facility support team member.
- Develop weekly goals for facility support team members.
- Support training/onboarding of new Maintenance Technicians alongside club General Managers and District Managers.
- Conduct Facility support team members quarterly written and verbal evaluation
- Provide weekly feedback on work quality and overall performance
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of services provided by staff and vendors, ensuring high standards are maintained.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of club visits, maintenance activities, repairs, and vendor contracts.
- Technology & Systems: Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and work order management platforms. Basic computer proficiency required (email, Microsoft Office, scheduling tools).
- Travel: Ability to travel to the clubs they oversee and at times other clubs in the company. Must be able to travel by car and/or airplane up to 50% of the time to clubs within the designated region and occasionally to other company locations. A valid driver's license is required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills to lead a team of facilities staff and contractors.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and facility management best practices.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Budget Management: Experience in preparing and managing budgets for facility operations.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in facilities management, safety, or project management may be preferred.
- Experience: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Walking: Frequently moving around the facility to inspect and oversee various areas.
- Bending and Stooping: Occasionally required for accessing equipment, storage, or lower-level areas.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Climbing: Occasionally required to climb ladders or stairs to access different parts of the facility.
- Standing and Sitting: Alternating between periods of standing and sitting, depending on the task at hand.
- Reaching: Extending arms to reach for materials, equipment, or tools at different heights
- May require working evenings, weekends, and being on-call for emergencies.
- Work is typically performed in a club with varying hours based on business needs.
- While performing the club duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the environment is occasionally loud.
- Ability to work a varied schedule to support the needs of the business, including frequent extended workdays, weekends and holidays may be required.
- Must be able to travel by car and/or airplane up to 50% of the time.
