Job DetailsJob Location: Cahuilla Casino Hotel - Anza, CA 92539Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 2 Year DegreePOSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of Facilities oversees the maintenance and care of all areas of the property including the Casino, Hotel, and Travel Center.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the day-to-day safe operation, care, maintenance, and repair of the building systems, including interior building spaces, HVAC, electrical, interior and exterior lighting, plumbing, small equipment and garden landscaping.
Manages the services of outside vendors, as needed, and performs routine maintenance and repairs and staff work orders, as needed
Utilizes the building management system software to monitor the function of key building systems and interfaces with outside vendors, such as HVAC system repair and remote monitoring
Manages the cleaning of all interior spaces
Recruits, hires, trains and supervises facilities staff
Manages building system equipment inspections, warranties, operating manuals, tools, vendor contracts, licenses (as needed), material data sheets, emergency preparedness supplies and routine maintenance supplies
Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of short-and long-term routine maintenance protocols to ensure safe and efficient building operations
Assists with the preparation and de-install of special events
Oversees emergency response to urgent building system issues and failures
Other duties as required
QualificationsREQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED, plus some Mechanical experience or trade school training in mechanical systems
At least three years of experience in building systems
Sustain periods of physical activity, including climbing ladders, operating valves, lifting at least 50 pounds and pushing 75 pounds with the assistance of a cart, on a regular basis.
Evening, weekend and holiday work are required
Response to and management of emergency building issues, which may require work during late night or early morning hours as needed; scheduled in advance whenever possible
Must have good written and verbal communications skills: be able to use a computer for basic office correspondence, work orders, email communications and building systems; read gauges and digital screens of large equipment; manage variant noise levels
Ability to manage simultaneous projects and work schedules

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and required to move about the Casino floor and exposed to a non-smoke free environment.
Cahuilla Casino Hotel is committed to a drug and alcohol free workplace. Any job offer is conditional upon successful passing of a pre-employment drug test and must qualify for a Cahuilla Gaming License, which includes an extensive background security check.
If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a reasonable time agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant. Applicants who are hired and fail t meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as scheduled.
A drug test will be required prior to employment and periodically thereafter.
