Job DetailsJob Location: Lake Worth Headquarters - Lake Worth, FL 33461POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for assessing, planning and implementing strategies for effective facility management. Assigns and supervises facility operations including but not limited to repairs, maintenance, construction, vehicles, and contracted services. This position also ensures compliance with safety and regulatory related issues.
I. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Five years experience in facility management including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity.

License/Certification:
HVAC Certification preferred.
Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general construction
Knowledge of fleet management and vehicle maintenance
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Able to effectively prioritize assignments and meet deadlines

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervises and evaluates the performance of facilities staff.
Performs recruitment, retention and termination responsibilities for assigned staff.
Completes 90 day/annul evaluations for direct reports and establishes specific goals for direct staff.
Develops and implements corrective action performance improvement plans and initiates disciplinary measures as required.
Solicits bids, retains and evaluates external vendors in compliance with organizational policies.
Assists in developing a projected annual budget for maintenance and repairs, and works within established budget parameters.
Maintains adequate inventory of housekeeping and janitorial supplies.
Reviews weekly facility and vehicle inspection forms and follows-up as necessary.
Conducts and documents monthly and quarterly inspections of facilities, grounds and vehicles.
Participates in Safety Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Committee to maintain organizational safety standards.
Ensures all vehicles and facilities are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to fire drills, fire and health inspections, and fire extinguishers.
Implements and maintains a preventative maintenance plan for all facilities, grounds and vehicles.
Responds to all work orders in an efficient and effective manner.
Provides 24 hour on-call emergency coverage for the facilities department.
Participates in the development and oversight of capital expansion projects.
Develops, maintains and reviews facility and vehicle related policies and procedures.
Actively participates in Management Committee and other committees as assigned.
Coordinates pick-up, disbursement and storage of donated items.
Provides support as needed for special events and other organizational activities.
Effectively and efficiently maintains off-site and on-site storage of organizational assets and records.
Generates invoices and check requests in a timely manner.
Completes accurate documentation and reports in a timely manner as assigned.
Provides training as assigned.
Accessible via cell phone.

IV. ADA STANDARDS:
A. Physical Demands:
Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate physical effort. May involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate to heavy weight (75-100 pounds). Repetitive sitting; standing; walking; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; balancing; stooping; kneeling; talking; and listening. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to drive.
B. Mental Demands:
Ability to remain calm and rational when dealing with persons who may be agitated and/or violent. Ability to organize and prioritize projects and responsibilities.
C. Working Conditions:
May be exposed to contagious or infectious diseases. Residential, community, and/or office environment. Qualifications:
