Join Homestead Gardens as our next Head Groundskeeper and take charge of maintaining and enhancing the charm of our gardens, event spaces, brewery grounds, animal pastures, and more.
About the Role
As our Head Groundskeeper, you’ll be the hands-on leader ensuring our outdoor spaces remain beautiful, safe, and guest-ready all year long. From seasonal plantings to irrigation and event set-ups, your role is vital in keeping Homestead Gardens looking its absolute best. You'll lead a dedicated groundskeeping team while working closely with our landscape designers and event coordinators.
What You’ll Do
Lead, schedule, and motivate a team of groundskeepers
Care for plants, trees, lawns, and hardscape areas through mowing, pruning, mulching, and planting
Maintain irrigation systems and implement water management strategies
Manage integrated pest and weed control practices
Keep tools, machinery, and equipment in top shape
Collaborate with event teams to prep and maintain outdoor event spaces
Handle seasonal tasks like winterizing grounds and snow removal when needed
Maintain safety standards for staff, guests, and visitors
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of supervisory experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or horticulture
Strong knowledge of plant care, turf management, irrigation, and pest control
Hands-on experience with landscaping equipment
A natural team leader who thrives outdoors in all kinds of weather
Solid organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
Valid driver’s license
Pesticide application certification (or ability to obtain)
