We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Branch Manager for our headquarters maintenance branch. This position is responsible for maintaining grounds and buildings at agency headquarters' property.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Plan, direct and supervise employees in the performance of maintenance and upkeep of agency facilities and grounds.
  • Evaluate maintenance needs for facilities; develop and oversee recurring maintenance schedule.
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance contract services.
  • Oversee the purchase and use of maintenance and janitorial materials and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Seven years of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services or mechanical maintenance experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in industrial arts, horticulture, building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, mechanical engineering, or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for- year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbents in this job title may be required to use hand tools and lift items in excess of 20 pounds.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
