Job Overview

NWR is seeking a structured, disciplined, and proven Maintenance Manager to lead our site maintenance function. Rather than a hands-on technician, we are looking for a true people manager and operational leader who can establish consistency, optimize workflows, and direct a team of 10 direct reports.

In this role, you will oversee both reactive and proactive multi-skilled maintenance for all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. You will drive operational effectiveness, reduce downtime, implement continuous improvement plans, and ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Direct, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 10 direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and standard technical best practices.

  • Establish and enforce clear structures, discipline, and consistent policies and procedures across the department.

  • Effectively delegate shifts, maintenance tasks, and small projects to matching skill sets within the team.

Operational Workflow & Scheduling

  • Understand, manage, and direct all maintenance workflows, including internal and external scheduling.

  • Develop and manage a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule to maximize planned downtime and drastically reduce unplanned downtime.

  • Ensure the facility layout, plant, buildings, and machinery run at maximum efficiency and output.

  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve technical breakdowns and operational deficiencies.

Strategy, Budgeting & Compliance

  • Prepare, forecast, and manage the annual Maintenance budget, expenditures, and P&L responsibilities from project identification to completion.

  • Contribute to business initiatives, reporting on Maintenance KPIs, project delivery, and mean time between failures (MTBF).

  • Ensure all maintenance operations comply with legal standards, company regulations, and health, safety, and environmental policies.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement and supply chain teams, to ensure optimal site performance.

Position Requirements

  • Management Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated people management experience (clearly reflected on your resume).

  • Facility Experience: 4-5 years of relevant maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial facility.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude and deep understanding of plant-level maintenance strategies (mechanical, electrical, and facilities infrastructure).

  • Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to handle cross-functional collaboration and strategic planning.

Benefits & Perks

  • 10% Performance Bonus eligibility

  • 2 Weeks Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • Comprehensive Medical Insurance

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan

  • Company Phone Allowance
