Position Overview
The Senior Commercial Property Manager oversees the daily operations, financial performance, and tenant relationships of a commercial property portfolio.

This role is focused on experienced property managers who can operate independently, manage a higher volume of tenants, and stay organized across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong commercial property management experience, excellent communication skills, and consistent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Operations and Maintenance
  • Manage daily building operations to ensure properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
  • Supervise vendors, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate repairs or capital projects.
  • Oversee service contracts and vendor performance.
Tenant Relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants.
  • Respond to tenant requests, concerns, and maintenance needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
  • Support tenant retention through consistent communication and follow-through.
Financial Management
  • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets.
  • Oversee rent collection, invoicing, and expense approvals.
  • Monitor property performance and assist in preparing financial reports.
  • Collaborate with ownership and accounting teams on financial tracking and reporting.
Leasing and Administration
  • Work with leasing agents to support occupancy goals.
  • Assist with lease compliance, documentation, and enforcement.
  • Maintain accurate property, tenant, and vendor records.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of commercial property management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing office, retail, or industrial properties strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenants and priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of commercial leases and building systems
  • Experience with property management software (Yardi, MRI, or AppFolio preferred)
  • Strong comfort with property management software and day-to-day technology use is important for success in this role.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • CPM, RPA, or similar certification is a plus
Work Environment
  • Office-based role with regular property visits.
  • Fast-paced environment with multiple properties and tenant interactions.
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend availability, as needed.
