About the Role

Priority Wire & Cable (PWC), a leading supplier of wire and cable in the U.S. and Canada, is seeking a Facility Manager based in our Little Rock, AR office or any of our PWC facilities.

The Facility Manager is responsible for supporting the Director of Facilities in maintaining and managing all construction projects, general maintenance contracts, equipment quotes, record keeping, purchase order entry, budgets, and answering day-to-day emergencies.

 Job Description and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and document all contracts at PWC sites for the following items:
      • HVAC
      • Machine inspections (quarterly/semiannual)
      • Permits – racking, fence, scales, etc.
      • Backflow testing
      • Roof inspections (semiannual/yearly)
      • Elevators
      • Forklifts
      • Generators
    • Monitor and maintain parts and supplies for machines.
    • Maintain vendor list for all warehouses to include:
      • Electrician
      • Plumbing
      • HVAC
      • General contractor
    • Monitor and respond to daily requests from all facilities.
    • Ensure that all records are up to date.
    • Provide quotes for new projects and equipment as needed.
    • Research for new vendors
    • Works with various departments in operations daily.Reports to the Director of Facilities
    • 25% travel:  Travel to sites as needed for projects, inspections, meetings with contractors/vendors.

     

    Demonstrated Skill in:

    • Leadership – ability to lead projects and direct contractors, as well as delegating tasks and exercising decision-making skills that align with the organization’s goals.
    • Organizational skills and time management – prioritize, plan, and implement building maintenance activities in a timely manner to prevent safety risks or disruptions to workflow and duties.
    • Problem-solving – identify and resolve issues efficiently, using a rational approach to overcoming challenges and innovation when possible.
    • Communication – effective communication and interpersonal skills with team members, stakeholders, and external parties.
    • Adaptability – adapt quickly and adjust plans as needed to unexpected situations or changing priorities.
    • Project management – coordinate complex projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring successful results are delivered consistently.

     

    Job Requirements & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems Management, Operations Management, related field or equivalent experience.
    • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) is desirable.
    • 5+ years of experience in facility management or property management, including experience overseeing operations, facility maintenance and upkeep, and operations management.
    • Knowledge of building systems and codes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety regulations, and relevant regulations for health and safety (OSHA standards).
    • Proficiency in facility management software and tools – Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and facility management software.
    • Experience with contracts and vendor management.
    • Must be able to travel up to 25% to conduct site visits/projects.
