Full job details

Our client, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a Maintenance Manager for their 24/7 unionized facility in Shelbyville, IN. We are seeking a strong, results-driven leader who can bring their vision to manage, plan and develop the maintenance team. This is a key senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. Company relocation assistance is available for this opportunity.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of salaried and hourly maintenance/technical professionals, with one direct and 30 indirect reports 
  • Plan and execute all Maintenance Team activities
  • Participate in team analysis for problem solving of major breakdowns
  • Manage the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) systems to ensure equipment reliability with minimal downtime
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance operational efficiency
  • Document maintenance and repair activities for future reference and compliance
  • Manage CapEx projects
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services
  • Be a strong proponent of safety culture, training and adherence
  • Keep up-to-date with technological advancements in maintenance engineering


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related technical field
  • 5 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Leadership experience in a union setting is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance experience including management of CMMS, PdM, PM and TPM systems.
  • CapEx project experience


Salary and Benefits

  • Salary Range $125,000 - $130,000 plus up to 20% bonus potential
