Job Title: Property Manager
Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC (must be in the DC area, or close)
Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience) + commission
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Manager with 3–5 years of experience to oversee the daily operations of a portfolio of residential properties. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, excellent client relations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned residential properties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners and tenants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Coordinate leasing activities, including managing make-ready work, creating marketing materials, conducting showings, screening applications, onboarding new tenants and conducting move-in and move-out inspections
- Ensure timely rent collection and manage delinquency processes
- Oversee property maintenance and repairs progress along with the Maintenance Coordinator
- Manage ongoing process of lease renewals including market analysis, collaboration with owner and negotiating with tenants
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance and upkeep
- Ensure adherence with local, state, and federal housing regulations
- Maintain accurate records, leases, and documentation
- 3–5 years of experience in residential property management
- DC Property Manager License (preferred, but we’ll help you get it if not)
- Strong knowledge of property management practices and housing regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proven ability to manage vendors and maintenance operations
- Proficiency with property management software (Propertyware preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work weekends and evenings when necessary
- Reliable transportation to conduct property visits
