Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Oversee all aspects of the organization's properties to ensure they are safe, secure, compliant, and functional for members and employees. This role typically balances hands-on maintenance with strategic planning and vendor management. This position requires a valid driver's license and travel between branches. Some weekend and evening work is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Excellent time management skills, maintains a high level of accuracy, and attention to detail. Experience overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of multiple facilities including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. We are looking for a candidate with diplomatic communication and sound decision making skills. Safety and compliance expert, knowledgeable with relevant local, state, and federal regulations and building codes, including ADA, OSHA, and fire/life safety standards. Budgeting and financial management a must. Ability to optimize space and coordinate with IT. Must be PC-proficient, including keyboarding skills, in a Windows environment.
EXPERIENCE: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
EDUCATION: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Speaking on the telephone approximately 10% percent of workday. May need to shovel snow at office locations to help clear sidewalks, etc. during heavy snowstorms. Continuous sitting, standing, talking, and listening for extended periods of time, use of hands in repetitive tasks such as typing and writing, speaking, and hearing for interaction with others, clarity of vision at 20 inches or less for processing of helpdesk tickets and maintenance. Lifting up to 100 pounds to move supplies or office equipment, bending, squatting, or kneeling to reach supplies on ground level, reaching above shoulder level to reach supplies overhead.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Employees work in an office environment with average noise levels impacted by computers, printers, scanners, phones, and other surrounding conversations. The credit union is located in Central Oregon and weather during the winter may impact travel. Seasonal fires may impact air quality.
